Interactive Media Micro-Credential

Digital design today isn’t static… it moves, responds, and connects. The Micro-Credential in Interactive Media empowers you to design and build those experiences, blending creativity, storytelling, and technology to create work that truly engages an audience.

You’ll start by learning the foundations of digital design and media creation, then bring your ideas to life through animation, motion graphics, and fully functional interactive projects… including websites and other dynamic media. Along the way, you’ll apply design thinking and user experience principles to craft digital spaces that are not only visually compelling, but intuitive and meaningful.

Whether you’re studying communication, business, marketing, education, or the arts, this fully online credential helps you move from content consumer to digital creator. It also stacks toward the BA or BFA in Graphic Design; giving you the creative and technical confidence to design for how people live and interact today.

To design like a professional, you need the tools professionals use. At Missouri Valley College, we’ve removed course fees for Graphic Design classes and use textbooks only when absolutely necessary…lowering costs so you can invest in what truly matters: your creative toolkit. Students should have access to a device capable of running Adobe Creative Cloud and an active subscription to the software suite. This approach ensures you’re not just completing assignments; you’re building the skills, experience, and tools you’ll carry into your creative career.

Assessment:
To complete this Microcredential, students submit a portfolio of 3–5 representative works at the end of their final required course. Faculty and/or subject matter experts review the portfolio to confirm mastery of the key skills and competencies.
