Murrell Library & Academic Support Center at Missouri Valley University builds intellectual and creative capacity by providing information, services, and programming that engage, encourage, and enable faculty, staff, students, and the community to question, explore, and critically evaluate information.
Murrell Library & Academic Support Center is a hub for student learning and scholarship, a place to study, and a destination for programs. As a campus resource, the Library provides individualized services, print and online materials, and study space for the University community.

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 11:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Sunday: 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Library Resources
- Academic Coaching Services - We offer in-person and virtual academic support for most classes offered at MVU through our Math Center, Reading & Writing Center, and subject-specific academic coaching.
- Testing Center - The Testing Center provides a secure and quiet environment for students to take exams, with proctored testing services and adherence to all exam policies and guidelines. Our hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm.
- Library Databases - With over 70 research databases, many of them containing full text, you should be able to find what you need. Databases are liked from the library webpage and are available off-campus using your MVU login.
- Books and eBooks - The library has a wide variety of books, both electronic and in print. Almost 500,000 eBooks and over 40,000 books in print on a wide variety of topics are available.
- eJournals - With access to nearly 80,000 eJournals, the library is sure to be able to help you find what you need.
- Interlibrary Loan - MVU faculty, staff, and students may borrow materials not owned by MVU through Interlibrary Loan. Request forms are automatically populated from databases, and a blank form is available on the library’s website. We are a member of the MOBIUS Consortium, which allows borrowing from over 60 neighboring libraries.
