This course provides a laboratory learning experience that allows students to connect theory to practice in the clinical setting. The student will learn skills necessary to do scanning, understand use of protocols, ways to avoid imaging artifacts, proper positioning of patients, terminology, and how to properly present a patient to a physician (mock presentation) for imaging modalities of the organs, vascular, and other structures of the non-gravida and first trimester fetus.
Prerequisites
Acceptance into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Prerequisites and core courses must be passed with a C or better.
