SONO 220: Sonography of Superficial Structures

This course is a detailed study of normal and pathological superficial structures as related to scanning techniques, patient history and laboratory data, transducer selection, and scanning protocols. In addition to the normal healthy structures, it will also cover some disease states that impact each organ. Organs included in this class will be thyroid, breast, testicle, prostate, chest wall, and images modalities for the fetus in the second and third trimester.

Prerequisites

Acceptance into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.  Prerequisites and core courses must be passed with a C or better
