Life @ MVU - Pathway Program - New Freshmen

  • High School Completion: Applicants must have completed high school or its equivalent.
  • High School GPA: A minimum 2.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale is required. Students who completed high school outside the United States must submit an InCred evaluation of their high school credentials.
  • English Proficiency: Students from countries where English is not the primary language must submit an official TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test score. For the Pathway Program, students may be admitted with a TOEFL score of 40–67 or an IELTS score of 5.5–6.0. Duolingo English Test scores of 60 or higher are accepted for admission. After arrival, students will take an English placement test to determine their appropriate English course placement, which may include ESL support classes or regular university classes.

When an applicant meets all admission and financial requirements, the University may issue a Form I-20 for degree-seeking F-1 student status.
