This course is designed to provide information on how nutrition is related to physical, mental, and social well-being, as well as health and wellness, disease prevention, and the maintenance of optimal health throughout the lifespan. Health care professionals learn practical applications of how diet therapy and clinical nutrition impact disease states, the need to promote healthy lifestyle choices, and the barriers associated with achieving optimal nutrition.
