The course provides students with a comprehensive review of the structure and function of the abdomen. This includes normal and abnormal anatomy identified with sonographic imaging along with various disease states/disorders that can impact each organ. This can include other imaging modalities such as vascular, muscles, and ligaments located in the adult abdomen. This course also focuses on ultrasound scanning skills.
Prerequisites
Acceptance into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Prerequisites and core courses must be passed with a C or better.
