SONO 210: OB/GYN Sonography I

This course integrates relational structure, function, normal and abnormal variants, and pathology related to a non- gravida female pelvis and first trimester fetus with  imaging modalities of the typical and atypical  sonographic  appearances of the non-gravida and first trimester fetus. Students will learn about early stages of pregnancy along with potential complications for mother and embryo/fetus. Also included are scanning skills to detect and visualize the embryo/fetus, along with using the transabdominal and transvaginal/endovaginal approach.

Prerequisites

Acceptance into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.  Prerequisites and core courses must be passed with a C or better.
