This course covers cross-sectional anatomy of the male and female body. Students learn anatomical terminology, anatomical relationships of organs, vascular structures, along with body planes and quadrants. Students also learn positioning, interconnections, visual characteristics, scanning techniques/protocols, anatomical recognition, and pathology integral to the field of sonography.
Prerequisites
Acceptance into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Prerequisites and core courses must be passed with a C or better.
