This course provides a laboratory hands on learning experience allowing students to hone in on competencies for performing sonographic assessment of the second and third trimester obstetric patient. Students will gain knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate competencies in scanning methods/techniques, procedural guidelines/protocols, fetal biometrics, and identification of normal fetal anatomy in the second and third trimester of pregnancy.
Prerequisites
Acceptance into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Prerequisites and core courses must be passed with a C or better.
